Choose by the batch you plan to make

Begin with what you want to process and how much fresh material you expect to load at one time. Then check the tray dimensions: the way your material fits and is arranged matters as much as its weight. For larger production plans, also consider the machine’s footprint, electrical requirements and space for the vacuum pump.

Fresh load is not finished yield

A 5 kg fresh load does not mean 5 kg of finished product. Moisture content, preparation and your target dryness all affect the result. Use our Freeze-Drying Yield Guide for planning estimates, then run test batches to establish figures for your own material.
